Android Phone/Tablet Email Setup (mail1)
Due to some minor inconsistencies across Android devices, we’ve done our best to make this tutorial as intuitive and complete as possible. Your device may be slightly different from our instructions. If you have any trouble, please don’t hesitate to call or contact us.
- Note: It is best to have your WIFI or Cellular Data enabled and connected during this process. It’s probably already on.
- From the home screen, tap the Application button (on the bottom) and then tap the Email icon.
- If this is your first email account, you will be presented with an email setup screen, tap the Next button. Otherwise, press the Menu button (on bottom), tap Accounts, press the Menu button (again), and tap Add account.
- Enter your entire email address (e.g., myname@mydomain.com)
- In the second box, enter your email password.
- Tap the Manual setup button and then tap the IMAP button and enter the following information in the fields provided:
- Username—Enter your entire email address (e.g., myname@mydomain.com) – lowercase.
- Password—Enter the password associated with your email account – case sensitive.
- IMAP server: mail1.techlabhq.com
- Security type: SSL (Accept All Certificates)
- Port: 993
- Tap the Next button. The device will connect to the internet and check your incoming settings.
- On the Outgoing server settings screen, enter the following:
- SMTP server: mail1.techlabhq.com
- Security type: SSL (Accept All Certificates)
- Port: 465
- Tap the Require sign-in checkbox then tap the Next button and the device will connect to the internet and check your outgoing settings.
- On the next screen verify the settings are appropriate for your needs. If you want to always automatically send from this account choose the Send Email From This Account By Default checkbox.
- Tap Next.
- Account Name: your email address (e.g., myname@mydomain.com)
- Tap Done.
